Davis High School English

 A Bit About Miss Roberts:

I was born and raised in Kaysville, graduated from Davis High School, then went on to the University of Utah for my bachelor's degree. I worked after college as a professional journalist for several years, including as an education reporter. I traveled throughout Davis County, teaching at schools from elementary to high school as a volunteer because of my position at the newspaper. I taught journalism, photography, and communications. During that time, I found that I loved teaching. I returned to school at Westminster College for my Master of Arts in Teaching degree and completed my student teaching with 7th grade at South Davis Junior High School. 

I was quickly hired on at NUAMES, a local early college charter school, and completed my first five years of teaching there as a sophomore English, yearbook, creative writing, and AP English teacher. After graduating with a second master's degree from Northern Arizona University in English, I taught 7th and 8th grade for one year at Sunset Junior High School.

I began teaching at Davis High School in the 2016-17 school year with English 11 and Read 180.

I enjoy riding motorcycles, which is how I spend much of my time outside of school. I also fly radio controlled aircraft of all shapes and sizes and am part of an official RC club in Ogden. I love to kayak, play tennis and racquetball, cycle, swim, and build models. I love animals and have a dog and two cats at home.

I am excited to be part of Davis School District!
